School Readiness

At Little Inventors Montessori Nurseries, we believe that the journey to school readiness is one of the most important milestones in a child’s early years. It's not just about knowing letters and numbers — it's about nurturing the whole child to ensure they are confident, capable, and excited to take on the next stage of their learning journey.

What is School Readiness?

School readiness is a holistic concept that reflects a child’s overall preparedness to engage with and benefit from the school environment. It involves a balanced development across several key areas:

School Readiness – Cognitive Development

Cognitive Development

Children begin to develop early literacy and numeracy skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to follow instructions and routines.

School Readiness – Social and Emotional Development

Social and Emotional Development

We support children in learning how to build friendships, express emotions appropriately, develop self-regulation, and show independence.

School Readiness – Physical Development

Physical Development

From holding a pencil to climbing a ladder, developing both fine and gross motor skills is essential. Our environment supports activities that build coordination, strength, and confidence.

School Readiness – Language Development

Language Development

Communication is at the heart of learning. Children are encouraged to express themselves clearly, follow multi-step directions, and engage meaningfully in conversation with both peers and adults.

At Little Inventors Montessori Nurseries, we gently guide children in these areas and prepare them for a smooth and successful transition to school life.
