Our Team
Here at Hounslow Montessori Nursery & Pre-school, our friendly and highly trained staff are focused on providing fun and education, whilst working to ensure your child develops as an individual. By helping to nurture and encourage learning through discovery and enjoyment.
Our aim is to offer the best training opportunities to our staff to support our childcare and education philosophy. All staff are checked with the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) before being employed and we also practice buddy system at Hounslow Montessori.
The majority of our staff is Montessori Qualified equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / 4 in over 2’s and childcare Level 2, 3 and 4 in under 2’s. Staff are also encouraged and supported to achieve Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).
Our aim is to make sure that the children feel safe, secure, loved and parents are reassured that their children are being looked after by the best carers we can find.
Pradeepa Samarawickrama
My name is Pradeepa and I am the Nursery Manager at Hounslow Montessori Nursery & Pre-School. I have an Early Years Professional Status (EYP) from Middlesex University which is validated by Department for Education / Advanced Diploma in Child Care and Education CACHE 4 and I am a First Aider as well. I have been working and caring for children for over 18 years and have worked my way up from room leader, so my knowledge comes from hands on, practical experience which I have gained to support my team for children's learning and development whilst providing a safe, a secure and a stimulating environment.
I take great delight in working in partnership with parents and other professionals to build up strong relationships. I have a passion to work with children and I love to see children developing while learning through play, experimenting with Montessori equipment and having real life adventures. I like to spend as much time as possible in the rooms, getting to know and observing children and staff during their action packed busy days.
