Here at Hanwell Montessori Nursery & Pre-school, our friendly and highly trained staff are focused on providing fun and education, whilst working to ensure your child develops as an individual. By helping to nurture and encourage learning through discovery and enjoyment.

Our aim is to offer the best training opportunities to our staff to support our childcare and education philosophy. All staff are checked with the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) before being employed and we also practice buddy system at Hanwell Montessori.

The majority of our staff is Montessori Qualified equivalent to NVQ Level 3 / 4 in over 2’s and childcare Level 2, 3 and 4 in under 2’s. Staff are also encouraged and supported to achieve Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).

Our aim to make sure that the children feel safe, secure, loved and parents are reassured that their children are being looked after by the best carers we can find

Alison Sturge

Nursery Manager

My name is Alison Sturge and I am the Nursery Manager at Hanwell Montessori Nursery & Pre-School. I started in December 2019 and it has been a great Learning Curve working through the Pandemic and supporting our Families. My background in Childcare is varied and I have been a Foster Carer, Early Years Practitioner and Childcare Qualification Assessor. I have worked for Jigsaw Nursery Group, Busy Bees, Kensington & Chelsea College several Family Centres and smaller Nurseries.
My previous role before starting in Hanwell was in a Primary School Reception Class – having had many children come through our doors from Nursery Schools - my goal is to have happy, confident, independent children who enjoy learning and exploring leave our setting.
